What:  How can you celebrate the 25th anniversary of the James Beard Foundation?  By dining with 8 of the top chefs in the country, 6 who have received a James Beard Award during their prestigious careers.  At the Friends of James Beard Dinner, international culinary talent comes together to blow the hoods off the kitchen with teamwork, scorching talent and wine pairings to keep the conversations going long into the evening. 
 
 This unforgettable, collaborative dinner will include the following artisans of the kitchen

Chef Levi Mezick – Restaurant 1833 (Washington, DC)

Chef Michael Ginor –Lola (Great Neck, NY) & Hudson Valley Foie Gras (Ferndale, NY)
Chef Roberto Madrid – deseo at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa (Scottsdale, AZ) 
Chef Douglas Rodriquez – Alma de Cuba (Philadelphia, PA), D. Rodriguez Cuba (Miami, FL), Ola at Sanctuary (Miami, FL), deseo (Scottsdale, AZ)
Pastry Chef Nancy Silverton – La Brea Bakery (Los Angeles, CA)

In partnership with the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa will host this prestigious event, beginning at sunset with heavy hors d’oeuvres and aperitifs on the hotel’s manicured lawn overlooking ice sculptures and a serene lake. Following this spectacular introduction is the main event; a multi-course dinner. The Friends of the James Beard Dinner promises a truly memorable evening of exquisite cuisine from the hands and minds of true culinary artisans.

When: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 6:00pm (Reception) & 7:30pm (Dinner)
